Melika Torabi
Legal, Contracts & Property Lead
Melika is the Legal Advisor at Form and Function Studio, helping clients and designers move through the legal side of projects with confidence. Melika turns complex rules, contracts and risks into clear, practical advice so that the studio’s creative ideas can become real buildings without unnecessary delay or dispute.
From day one, Melika Torabi has focused on doing law at a high level. She graduated with First Class Honours in Law with Human Rights from City, University of London, completed the Solicitor’s Practice Programme with a major scholarship, and passed the SQE. Through advocacy competitions and time spent in criminal courts on mini-pupillages, Melika learned how to analyse evidence, build arguments, and speak with impact in serious cases. That same discipline now supports Form and Function Studio when contracts, negotiations or potential disputes arise around design and construction work.
In her work at the City Community Legal Advice Centre, Melika Torabi advised people facing real problems in housing, employment and family life. Working with vulnerable clients taught Melika how to listen carefully, explain options in plain language, and make sure people feel supported, not lost in legal jargon. This human side of Melika’s background helps Form and Function Studio manage relationships between clients, consultants, contractors and communities with fairness and clarity.
Alongside her legal training, Melika Torabi has built strong commercial awareness as a Sales & Finance Consultant, consistently recognised for performance. Hitting targets, understanding numbers and handling tough conversations have given Melika a sharp sense of how businesses actually run. At Form and Function Studio, this mix of legal expertise and real-world commercial experience means Melika protects projects, supports the design team, and helps the studio grow in a way that is secure, professional and ready for the future.
