Dizin Indoor Athletic Arena (DIA Arena) was a key element in the expansion and enhancement of the Dizin Ski Resort in Tehran. The design concept was grounded in the site’s natural topography, enabling future development while optimising panoramic views of the surrounding ski slopes. The building’s west-to-east orientation was carefully chosen to maximise these views and harness the prevailing winds, ensuring seamless integration with the environment.
ThermaFlow Facade
Utilising a double-skin facade with an intermediate air cavity, this design offers enhanced insulation against extreme temperatures, wind, and noise. The system significantly boosts the building’s thermal efficiency, ensuring comfort in both hot and cold conditions. By introducing a variety of new indoor and outdoor activities, the goal is to transform the existing resort into a dynamic four-season destination, offering a wide array of mountain experiences year-round.

GYM on London
Gym On London appointed Form + Function Studio to design one of its new fitness facilities within an existing commercial unit. The brief was to transform a vacant shell space into a fully functional gym that meets current UK building regulations while creating a safe, comfortable, and intuitive environment for its users.
The layout was carefully planned to support a clear and efficient user journey, incorporating a welcoming reception area, café, treatment room, administrative facilities, storage spaces, changing rooms, sanitary accommodation, and a well-organised gym floor. Particular attention was given to accessibility, circulation, safety, and operational efficiency, ensuring that the facility works effectively for both visitors and staff.
The design was supported by a comprehensive package of technical drawings and specifications prepared to facilitate statutory approvals and guide the project through its next stages of development.
